I just got a set of the Year One exhaust manifolds from a friend for the 383/440...never used, still in the box. Pretty nice actually, the heat riser already assembled is nice.

Will the coating on these from Year One stand up to the heat and rust or do I need to recoat them with something else?

What should I use then to prolong the good looks before the rust starts?

I got them also. They held up for about a year then started to burn and peel. Ended up blasting them and repainting with the VHT NuCast spray paint.

Dave if you want a somewhat lifetime coating, send them to www.fireballcoatings.com before you put them on.......
