Guys,
got the new car to the track this weekend, well atually Friday night, it was special, the first pass on my birthday and Mopars Against the World.
Anyway, the car went 5.87 at 119mph 1.26 60'
The car leaves good but out about 20feet it states to porpose, it will do this for about 40' then settle down, the car looks like it is not pulling hard until Mike pulls high gear then the thing is a rocket.
Mike raced another car that runs 5.90's, they were side by side of the line, until the car starts to porpose then he fell back about a fender, when he pulled high gear he drove around him to take the stripe
I guess I better tell you a little about the car. It's a full tube chassis 4 link car, 528, Zeeker heads,.700 roller cam with a glide, 5500 converter. Dana 60 with 4.56 gears and 16 33 tires.

The converter will stall behind my 528 at 6000 RPM.

I think the converter needs to be changed to a 4500 stall, what do you guys suggest

What air pressure are you running in your slicks, and what are your shocks set at?

The shocks are QA1 with 100 lb springs, the tire pressure was 7 lbs.

My brother in law set up the 4 link. the bottom bar is level with the bottom of the chassis and he told me the top bar was set up so that if you drew an imaginary line of each bar the lines would meet under the drivers seat.
I will need to measure the 4 link bars and find out the positions tonight.

I do not know where to peak torque is, no Dyno around here, We race up here at Northern Michigan.

I measured the 4 link bars last night, the top bars are 24 1/2 inches center to center on the connecting bolts and the bottoms are 25 1/2 inches.
We are weighing the car tonight
