A silly amount of wheels I was at today..

That guy and you with your lugnut collection should get together

Actually, the place I was at...is Carlise wheel (company that owns/makes Cragar amoungst tons of steel wheels for a variety of companies)

And luckily we don't buy the same quantity from them as we do from the lug nut place (TWG)

I'm not expert on this stuff, but wouldn't there be less load on the straps if the pallet were on the bottom?

<insert upside-down Aussie joke here>

That's to protect them from falling hail stones

And falling Smites.

(actual reason I put a pallet on top of the outers....if you try and strap them down with the ratchet ties, the straps tend to slide off the sides of the round wheels when you ratchet them real tight and don't stay centered on the pallet properly. If you put the pallet on the top, I can run the straps like you see and they stay in place and keep the pallet from being able to move around at all. )

I'll be more than happy to take some 17 x 8 or 18 x 8 outers.

Everything from this place are steel outers...they do make a 17" one, but they weigh a ton.

I get the aluminum outers from another supplier.

My friends here don't realize it would take as long for Oz to drive to Stu (barring traffic delays) as it would for me to drive from here to Virginia Beach

Traffic ? What's that?

And Aussies have no idea about stuff here either, no matter if I try to explain google maps, etc to them...everywhere is "half an hour" from here when they want me to look at something.

I hope you had more luck in El Monte than I did in Carlsbad.

That's SOUTH El Monte. Don't lower the quality of my clientele. That would almost be as bad as working for someone in Compton!

So, a "dry" run into Carlsbad?

That is Compton-Adjacent, to you mister.

And yep...had a nice scenic drive along the coast for pretty much no reason. Good thing I charge up front for reasons like this.

No start? Rod knocks? Already sold?

Did you notice the 137-wheeled smitemobile parked out front of the former nuclear plant?

(They're getting ready to move more of the heavy stuff.)

Me on phone to seller last night: "You have the title to the boat and trailer, correct?"

Seller on phone to me last night: "Yes, I have the title to them both here"

Me to seller this morning: "Where is the title to the trailer? all you have is an old reciept in someone else's name paying for the registration?"

Seller to me this morning: "That is the same thing as a title"

Me:

Me: "thanks anyways...but it won't really work out"

Oh, and....it was in way worse condition than stated as well.

And did see all sorts of cool things near the twin-lady's-chest-nuclear-power plant.

There was a battleship? of some sort off the coast too with helicopters flying back and forth to a little landing area setup...that was pretty cool watching from the freeway.

If you ever wondered its Towcester United Kingdom not Toaster United Kingdom.
