Noticed one of the sponsors was Super Cheap Auto.  From what I've seen nothing is super cheap when it comes to autos in Oz. Not even the bushings are cheap! A buddy just bought a newer GTO here, was a nitrous car for a long time.  but he got it cheap.

It was a comprimise because his wife wanted a new Challenger $27000 so he bought the GTO for $12000. It's an automatic too.  What motors are they using in the Holden race cars? LS motors? I traded off my 71 Dart today it needed a lot of interior work. My 69 is much nicer and worth a lot more!  So a new Camaros interior goes for way at $500. The price other countries pay for car parts makes my head spin. We are so lucky we can do things on the cheap here.

Really cool video comparing the Aussie race cars from then and now (well, few years ago) http://youtu.be/SXKvIKVvP1Y And yep..they use LS-based engines in them. All high tech stuff. Nice on the Dart trade off.  How many blueberries did you get for it ? Oh, and door panels for Tostito = $700  (interior kit for a Camaro wholesales under 900 from memory. )
