Winds in the '80s, pouring rain last night. Power went out about 1 AM or so. My brother took this photo, it is about 3 miles from me. A little further down the road a huge tree fell across one of the sub-stations.

I hate to even imagine what that wood have looked liked taken with the haunted camera.

Glad the power is back on at least.

They have power lines and paved roads in Alaska?

The road is still there.

The power to here comes through that multi part pole. It could go out again any time......

Hello folks, I just got back to Kwajalein from a trip to Germany. Before going I had to take AT training and I learned never to broadcast your travel plans on the internet when going abroad just in case the bad guys are listening. Anyway, I had to give a bit of misinformation. Let me tell you that traveling from Kwajalein to Frankfurt Germany is no picnic. The travel time was 31 hours in one direction and 37 coming back. Since it was a business trip, I did not get to do much sightseeing. I did get to eat some nice German food and of course some German So now I'm trying to force myself to stay awake until evening.
