It's the ZLF submarines that you have to beware of...

If you put the top down, you could place the COE truck cab on top & then drive the whole thing into the container.
The COE cab has actually just arrived in Oz, along with all the other things from the last batch of containers a month ago (my buddy is unloading them next week...)
I do have an old Plymouth pickup to ship...maybe I could fit the Corvette in the bed if I "trimmed" it to fit?

Try it several times in 10 mph increments & let us know what works best.
I would think starting at 70 mph would be a good place to begin?
Maybe evetS can videotape it? (assuming he is not deracs to visit Compton.)
Good idea... evetS is normally there on Tuesdays...maybe I should go back then and bring some paint (for the 01 on the door of course)
If it does not work...I could try and duplicate the ending of Vanishing Point afterwards. I saw they had a few bulldozers around today....
PS. The Corvette actually has a dead battery, and it's under the coolant tank so much for quickly removing it to bring it home and charge it... Maybe I should an access hole in the fender instead?

PLF need not try an invasion here next week! Orange County Coastal Areas (1 Alert ) Special Weather Statement Issued by The National Weather Service ...HEAT WAVE TO IMPACT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA NEXT WEEK... STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER THE WESTERN U.S. EARLY NEXT WEEK AND BRING AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF HOT WEATHER THAT WILL LAST THROUGH FRIDAY. TEMPERATURES NEXT WEEK WILL BE 10 TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE WITH RECORD HIGHS POSSIBLE. HIGH PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC THIS WEEKEND AND MOVE INLAND OVER OREGON AND REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY THROUGH THURSDAY. DRY NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND THE HIGH WILL INCREASE THE OFFSHORE FLOW AND BRING HOT...DRY WEATHER TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. COOLEST AREAS WILL BE THE BEACHES WHERE HIGHS WILL MOSTLY BE IN THE 80S. BUT JUST A FEW MILES FROM THE COAST THE HIGHS WILL BE IN THE 90S TO NEAR 100. INLAND VALLEY AND FOOTHILL TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM 95 TO 110. MOUNTAIN HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM 100 DEGREES AT 3000 FEET TO AROUND 80 DEGREES AT 6000 FEET. IN THE HIGH DESERTS HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM 95 TO 105...AND IN THE LOWER DESERTS THE HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM 100 TO 110. THE HOT...DRY CONDITIONS AND WEAK OFFSHORE FLOW PATTERN WILL ELEVATE THE FIRE DANGER NEXT WEEK. WHILE THE OFFSHORE WINDS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE VERY STRONG...THE COMBINATION OF TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT...SINGLE DIGIT HUMIDITIES...AND VERY DRY FUELS WILL ELEVATE THE FIRE HAZARD POTENTIAL NEXT WEEK. THE HIGH IS FORECAST TO BREAK DOWN FOR GRADUAL COOLING NEXT WEEKEND. PREVENT HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEATSTROKE BY AVOIDING STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY. WEAR LIGHT-COLORED AND LOOSE-FITTING CLOTHING AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. NEVER LEAVE PEOPLE OR PETS IN ENCLOSED AUTOMOBILES...EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME.
