Went to my local GM dealer today and asked for a bottle of EOS. I was expecting to get a one-quart sized bottle of the 'new' GM EOS #88862586 but instead got this 500ml/16.9oz bottle of ACDelco EOS. Looks to me like a bottle of the 'old' GM EOS with a ACDelco label on it...? Was the 'old' EOS this same size of bottle? Instructions say to pour bottle over cam through lifter bores. Wish it had a date on it because the newest oil spec the label mentions is SH/CD...

Doesn't white lithium grease work too?

I went to the GM on-line web site and bought the E.O.S in the 16oz bottles that I think you're looking for. GM stopped making E.O.S awhile back but brought it back after so many people asked for it. The new part number is 88862586 and here's the link to the GM web site where I bought mine.

How much of this do you need per oil change?

$9 after tax. I recall hearing people say they changed the formulation on the new bottle stuff but I guess there's still some of the old stuff floating around out there.

One full bottle during cam break-in, after that it's not really necessary if you're running an oil with a decent level of zinc. But with the new low-zinc oils I've heard some guys saying they run half a bottle of this stuff per oil change.
