seeing i cant get the cam i need in time i am going to throw my hughes 1.6 on my mp .484 hyd camshaft. what pushrods do i need? i tried a standard pushrod and it seemed way to long, to the point the angle was so far off closed it hit the rocker. the block is decked .015, and the eddy rpm heads have been decked .050 with a .040 compressed gasket.

7.330 thats awful short i think? now that is with useing the hyd lifters and adj rockers?

What engine is this? If this is a B engine about 8.25 +/-should about do it. The will have to be at least a .125 shorter than the mechanical pushrod which is 8.41 due to the depth of the cup in a solid compared to the h3ight of the plunger in a hydraulic.

Your better off measuring it to see what you need instead
of guessing

well running behind as always i got my first show this weekend. i would think it would be a common length pushrod, and this is on a rb 440

Standard mechanical is 9.20 so you will need at least .125 shorter and possibly even a 9 inch will be right for you. Be best to measure for sure. Guessing gets a person into trouble in a deal like this.
