What kind of octane would I need if I had a 414 small block with aluminum magnums 13 to one compression XE 268 cam 4 degrees advanced 2200 stall and did all the little anti detonation tricks like carb heat insulators, intake heat insulators, air gap intake, coated pistons and chamber, 160 t-stat, fresh air to the carb and never went below 3500 ft elevation?

I could use my heads with bigger chambers but they are iron, they would give me 11.5 compression.

We have 93 octane here and I can get 110 octane gas pretty reasonable to spike it with.

I know it will build a lot of cylinder preasure and need high octane but how high is high in this caase?

I'm thinking 110 and spike it w/the 93 one point down at a time and keep an eye on the plugs, but I bet you can't run less than 108@ 13:1

Yeah, it's got a smallblock.
