I got a 70 duster, original 318 car with full interior, 8 3/4 3.91s posi, 255/60/15 BFG radials, SS springs, 727, PTC 3600 converter, 360 w/ 9:1, 587 home ported j heads, air gap intake, holley 750 DP. Right now I have a comp xe274h cam in the car and it makes good power, but almost too much torque. It just blows the tires off and doesnt hook anymore, it used to hook with a 340 and 2200 converter. I know the better thing to do would be put some good tires on it, but Im switching cams to a solid anyways and looking to kill some low RPM power, mainly below 3000. Any suggestions on a good cam? I wont rev the motor over 6k. Thanks!

The problem with killing power down low, means your usually just moving the powerband up, and you don't want to spin it above 6k.
Quite the problem to have, might try just keeping your foot out of it, or like you said, get some real tires.

I wouldnt spend another dime on a new cam , untill AFTER you get your tires taken care of. Either slick or drag radials should solve most of your problem. If you want too kill a little low end you can always retard the cam you have now 4 degrees from where it is. One time when I was bracket racing my 64 Plymouth I got a flat in a slick during time runs...so I installed the street radials and finished the day starting off in 2nd gear! (manual valve body only trick) Works GREAT!!

I run M/T Drag Radials with 15 lbs of air hooks every time, 1.8 60 ft.

I was going to run an RPM or Air Gap on this 318/341 with a similar 3.55" stroke but at 2700 pounds and 85" wheelbase I wanted to kill some torque down low and move it upstairs, I'm going with the M1 which will be a little weaker below the torque peak but (with my heada and cam) should make a little bit more between 5200 and 6500. I also widened the lobe centers from 108 top 112 for the same reason. with your stall you're at the threshhold where the M1 might be a good trade-off but unless your heads are well ported you may not have enough Airflow/cam where the bigger runner/less restricted intake can pay off. I agree you probably need some suspension tuning to get more hook/use out of the torque you got. Try hooking up a 12:1 517" motor on drag radials....you think YOU got problems
