Went to Ubly Dragway on Saturday for some 1/8 MI Shakedown runs. Best run was 6.28 @ 111.11 ---- 1.49 60" No Traction on any of the 5 passes made. I pulled 10* of timing out for 1.4 Seconds on the TransBrake. I ran 36.5* of timing and Short Shifted at 6500. A/F was showing 11.5.. What I learned was: * I need to get my Irons Racing Suspension in. * I need to get my Irons Racing Suspension in. * It wants 2 More degrees Timing. * I need to shift at 7400. * I need to take some Jet out. * I need to get my Irons Racing Suspension in. All in all.. I'm tickled with it.

After going over the numbers with my slide rule..... a 6.28 looks to equate to a 9.75-9.83 in the 1/4 mile,,, The IRONS suspension set up looks nice.... good luck bubba,,, you doing Norwalk or the NATS this year ?? Doc',,,,,

Glad to hear you got it back out there. Look forward to hear the results once you get to tuning it..

Thats great Bubba, how was the World Block? Any problems you didnt see? Did you end up using the oil galley plug/port by the driver timing chain cover in your oiling system? I plan to with this Hemi. If My machinist would finish hone the block, and balance the rotating assembly..I could get it together...He's only had it since January... Wished I would have just hauled it to MI like I did the last one, and let Chuck and the boys finish it up...Bet it would have tookin them more than a month or two tops.

Once again.....the evil black Mirada is much too fast for my "good guy" white one to even consider contending with...... but I bet you'd enjoy my 1.37-39 60ft times! Psssst....you might look into re-doing your suspension, in case nobody mentioned it!

Thanks Everyone. The Combo is 512. Callies Crank, GRP Rods, CP Pistons, 345cc CNC -1's, Jesel Rockers, Scotty Brown Roller Cam. Dale Cubic Dominator, Hutch Built T-400 Trans, ATI Convertor, Dana 4.10, 10.5 tires, Leaf Springs, Mufflers, MSD7530. ALL this at a light weight of 3700 LBS. (Vince)Impastato Racing Engines did all the Block Machining. Jeff at Modern Cylinder Head touched up the Heads alittle and Scott Brown did the Cam Degreeing with the PITA Milodon Gear Drive. My Daughter and I did the assemble. I ended up plugging the Oil provision in the front of the block so I could use the parts I already had. The AN fittings are way too expensive to be changing stuff for no reason. Hey Doc, I'm planning on Norwalk this year. What are you charging for a Panus Cleansing these days? I now I can go faster if I was lighter. You all have a good idea cooking with that Irons Suspension suggestion. I think I'll call up the IronsWorks shop today for a chat.

That would be around 9.85-9.90 in the 1/4 pushing that heavy car down the track. And with better hook/sixty foot, even quicker.
