Hello,

Almost, The gear set is different. Diesels run at a much lower rpm.

Absolutely 100% untrue. Gear sets are exactly the same.

Both are 2.45 1st, 1.45 2nd, 1.00 3rd, and .069 OD.

Depending on the year it will either be a hydraulic shift valve body, or an electronic shift vavle body.

If it's a 47RH (hydraulic), the governer set shift points will be different between the two.

If it's a 47RE (electronic), the computer will control the shift point.

Also, the two use a different converter for different stall speeds.

I believe that Griner is working on a manual valve body for this trans too.

I don't know about Griner, but there are definately other manual valve bodies out there. (at least 5 years now)...
