I just got great service from PTC - Performance Torque Converter, in Muscle Shoals, AL.

I damaged the threads in the converter when the flexplate to converter bolts came loose (my fault). I sent the converter to them to do the repair. They fixed them and didn't charge me for the repair, only $17 for shipping. I didn't ask for any help, they just did it that way. I have been a customer of theirs for a few years and have always been happy with their work and prices. When I increased motor size to 511 CID a few years back, they tightened up my converter, freshen-up, etc.

Thanks to PTC, I recommend them!

My old PTC converters averaged about 4% slip - they worked very well when together.

I have to jump on the PTC bandwagon, they swapped out a new converter for my old one, and had a very quick turn around.

I might even go test and tune this weekend. We will see if that changes my opinon!! LOL

THIS is the way customer-service should take place.

Here they fix a part that was damaged by the customer at no charge ... yet some other companies just blow-off customers who have legit complaints with a manufacturing defect.

...to PTC.

I have a PTC in my Turbo Buick. It seems that they have the Turbo stuff nailed down and provide a converter that can stall and allow boost to build but still retain 4-6% slip. Very popular in the turbo buick comunity. I never had the chance to try one in my Hemi Challenger but I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if needed.
BTW, I bought it through a guy named Dusty Bradford who worked with me and restalled it twice free of charge. Not to many people who work that close and provide that service.

Has anyone used them for a purely street converter like 2500 stall?

Same results here. Kenny is a really good guy and their customer service is the best. Excellent converters and their pricing is very good as well.
