I am thinking about getting rid of the torsion bars on my 63 dodge 440, and going to the lower control arm and coil over shock kit from Cap auto products. Do you think that is to much weight and pressure for the stock shock towers? Dodge has a big block and runs mid 10's in 1/4.

why do you want to do the change? i read on post on here or at BBD that there was very little improvement going to the coil overs. i did actually consider this myself till i read the post.

The torsion bars were welded on and i am looking weight loss, so i thought this would be a good time to change.

I'd save the money for an aterktion or other complete front end system
this will give you rack and pinion coil overs tube arms and all the room for a big oil pan.
