I'm just throwing some ideas around as to some new wheels and tires, and I'm wondering what will and won't fit....I like the 17x8 mustang bullitt wheels, and you can pick them up for fairly cheap, but I have no idea if they'll fit or not....I won't be able to see my car for about two weeks (stored out of town), so i'm wondering if I can get some help...

I'm not as worried about the front as I am the rear....these rims are a 5.72 backspace and the tires that are usually already mounted to them are 235/55/17 range...If I have to run a spacer, i'm not sure it'll fit into the wheel well...

Anybody know if these would fit??

I had a 295/50R15 on the rear of my 66 and it would slightly touch the fender when making a hard turn with lots of weight in the car. Your 235/55R17 is over 2 inches narrower. You'll be fine as long as you get a proper backspacing.

I recently put a set of 275/60-15 on 15x8 deepdish Ramcharger wheels on the back of my 68 Fury. It's different from your tire size, but here's what I learned:

The wheels may clear the lip, but still interfere with teh fenderskirt latch (if you have them).

On my 68, there was a ridge in the inner wheelhouse about 3-4" above the lip, and the tires cleared the lip but would rub that ridge on turns.

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.
