Does anyone have a pic of what they've done? My plan is to trace the carb gasket and mill or use a die grinder to hog/blend the intake to match the secondaries. Will I need to modify the intake around the secondaries, or will it need machined at the primaries also?

I bought mine like this; looks like they used a gasket.

A simple square-bore to spread-bore adapter ! ... but there are better intakes that already are TQ-ready.

really? where? that's one of my biggest beefs with the mopar aftermarket. there isn't squat for good intakes that can run a spreadbore without an adapter. the only intakes I know of that can run either a square bore or spread bore are the eddie performer, M1 single plane, and the modded LD340. why they didn't make the air gap or RPM dual bolt pattern I don't know...I'd like to try a T-quad, but don't have the room for a spread bore to square bore adapter.

I see in the 2 pictures, the center divider is a little different. What works best with the T-Quad?

I thought there was a file in the Tech section on how to modify the LD340, but can't find it. Must not be putting in the right search parameters.

Does anyone still have the file they can post, and it be archived?

Here's a picture I stole off the internet, not sure where, but it shows a gasket on top of the modification.

The 2 pictures above have the old direct connection modifications done to the divider. They are milled down to increase top end power.

It is in the tech archive under Fuel System, DC Bulletin 34 racing carburetor and manifold calibration

I ground out my LD4B with a die grinder and used a TQ base plate with the throttle shafts removed for a template, it looks way better than the ones I have seen done with a gasket. I know looks aren't every thing but it almost looks like the factory could have done it. Both bolt patterns are already there.

Drop it off at a machine shop with carb and base gasket, cost me $50.00 and it's one of the best street combos you could ask for.
Don't cut the center divider out of the LD you will loose bottom end response.
I love it, did a say that again? Oh well I love it.

again, that intake really isn't any better than a stock iron one, performance wise....

show me a high performance mopar aftermarket dual plane (big or small block) that will work out of the box with a spread bore....

I have access to a mill at work, as soon as I figure out how to hold it, I'll rough it out at lunch and finish the job w/a die grinder.

The center divider is already partially milled, hope it doesn't make too big of a difference on my 360

I am doing the same combo, but am going to try to use the adaptor. That way if I want to change carb or switch manifold later on, it's still in good shape Hopefully, I have enough hood clearance.
My questions is how do you install the choke setup? The stock manifild has hole for the choke stove(I think that is what it's called)the LD340 intake doesn't have this setup.

I think that the adapters restrict the Thermoquads secondaries too much, why use the Thermoquad if your going to restrict its flow.
If you want to go back to a square bore later the gasket will cover the spread bore opening, so you should be ok and have an intake for either.

never seen that mopar intake before....I was under the impression the action+ used 318 sized runners. doesn't really make sense for them to market both if the only difference is the action+ has a dual carb mounting flange....

Is that a Mopar intake or a Holey intake?
I am a little confused by the description above pic and then it has a Mopar cast on the front runners.
