I am a rookie at Mopar performance. Is there anything worth doing to a 318 to gain a lil more, or just cam it up a bit and exhaust. This project is just getting started. The car is a driver now and really needs nothing yet other than smokin tires. Thanks for help.

You might open up the dist & change the springs/shorten the curve/add initial and richen the carb jets(what year/carb type).You always want to attack the worst area 1st which would probably be the exhaust

lunati voodoo cams are good with comp 901-16 springs

360 heads and 188/160 valves, shave off .050 to keep some compression

run it down hill

maybe not that order,I start with gears and work forward

be surprized what a stock teen will do with just a gear change and buzzing it up in the rpms

A 4 speed with the 340's 290 hp cam is a match with 3.23 gears. 600cfm holley , factory vacuum HEI , headers.

first steps: small 4bbl and dual exhaust

next: lunati voodoo 60400 and comp 901 springs.

after that: magnum heads
