hi
I just wire-wheeled my rear-view mirror bracket last night, and I realize it's pot metal and want to make sure it stays looking new, but in the same color. Would anyone clear-coat it to keep it looking good, or is there something else? If you use clear-coat, which do you use? I kind of want to keep the same amount of shine too, not too shiny, not to dull. Thanks for your help!

You should get decent results from a gloss clear coat spray. Just make sure you degrease the melt real good before you spray it.

I have had great results using Minwax polyurethane clear in a spray can.Comes in satin, gloss and semi gloss finishes.
