what color was the egg crate originally? also, on ours, the very front edge of the grille is natural alluminum and not painted.

someone had posted that if you fog it with a stainless steel finish paint, it is a very close match to the original finish.

Remove the honeycomb section media blast it and re-anodize it. We've restored over 200 1970 Challenger grills. www.tuffwheelrestoration.com Totally Auto grill silver is okay for a driver quality also, Krylon metallics would work also, without media blasting you won't get good adhesion though.
Stainless Steel and Aluminum trim restoration by MCB Restorations. We offer show quality trim restoration for all brands but specialize in Mopar. See our website for other examples www.mcbrestorations.com or give us a call at (810) 395-7162

Personally I have a 12ga shotgun bore brush that I took to a belt sander & made it a squared hole cleaning brush.... It screws to the "T" handle & does a pretty good job, takes a while but does a great job..
good idea

My mom spilled hot chocolate on her carpet and was worried that she wouldn't be able to get it all out. I told her that she could always spill more hot chocolate over the entire living room floor so everything would match. Just smash more bee's into the grill. I've had bugs gutts eat into my clearcoat on the front of the hood. Nothing would get off the stains.
