I am getting ready to start gathering parts for my power steering pump resto. I know that 1969 Hemis used federak pumps and I have a complete 1966 unit with pulley and brackets already. I am specifically looking for pulley pics and power steering cooler pics. This is for a 1969 super track pack coronet r/t. Any help?

power steering cooler pics.
Tall order, since I don't know that any 1969 Federal-style PS pumps were equipped with a PS cooler. There's certainly not a part number or single mention made of one in the '69 engineering graphics, that's for sure.

I thought I was sure I have seen them on some '69's but my survivor '69-X 4.10 does not have a cooler and neither did another low-mile survivor I was looking at. I have one on my 70 Challenger though. Geno - We had this discussion on another site. I gotta say, if in doubt, don't worry about it on a '69.

Well, I have seen some with and some without p.s coolers in 69 models. Seeing as how every 440 super track pack car had a power steering cooler, I would imagine that all hemi super track pack cars would have one as well. Makes sense?

Based on the cars I've seen (and I certainly haven't seen them all), the parts book, and especially the factory's engineering graphics, I don't think a cooler was used in any '69 hemicar. If nothing else, there are quite a few original/survivor cars that never had one.
I'm guessing the Federal-style pump must have been a little less susceptible to overheating problems than the Saginaw, plus they definitely slowed the pump down with a larger pulley diameter on the Hemi's. With all that, maybe there wasn't a need for a PS cooler?

The one rocket has is messed up on one fitting so they say but I didn't pursue it because I don't want to get caught in it was suppose to be this and wasn't deal, so I left it alone. I have one coming from steer and gear I hope it's close to a hemi federal hose.
