Hi guys

I have some questions for "short rear end"
Right now Iam at step where I need to decide in what class to drive. Major factor is rear tire size. In one class what I first thought, there is rear slick limited to 10.5" tire but in outlaw class there are no limits on rear tires.
Fact is that I need new rear end anyway because 8.25 what I have there going to blow up as soon as I release my trans brake button. Motor is R5/P7 with NOS shot.
One sad side going with "short axle" is that I just bought monoleaf springs and Caltracs what I afraid, I cant use with short axle?? As I know most race with ladder bar set up with "short rear"
Ofcorse with "short axle" (32 X 14.5 - 15)I have much better change to get my car hooked than with 10.5" tire
What you guys suggest to do and do you know do anyone have some complete "short axle complete rear end" for sale?
Car is `74 Dodge Charger

Thanks a lot!
Georg

I think you have to decide what you need to do.
Personally I would buy a dana with aftermarket axles that fits your car and use the stuff that you already have.
If you can't get it to work then cut it down.
There are guys going plenty fast with caltracs.
BTW contact Dr.Diff for your rear.
