We are going to stir up the haters of e-85. I figure the mileage difference to price is about 60 cents. That is the difference in price right now. I have been using my Durango for the mileage numbers. Do you have a spare carb around? Go set it up for e-85 and try it. I'd love to build a 14 to 1 motor dedicated to e-85.
I'm doing a 383 based stroker , 12.5 compression , I'm going to run it ultimately on E85

all great links posted!
the key to E-85 is the 100 or 110 octane...I think it's 110? anyway, you need to USE that octane, or you're wasting your money on E-85.
it's not THAT Much cheaper than gas, especially when you figure that you need 20% MORE of it to keep from going lean.
so to factor in your savings, build a high compression motor that needs 110 octane, and THEN compare the price and mileage of E-85 to 110 race gas.
