Gotta replace the glass, but leave the rest!

yep we were thinkng that too. Funny the other side says it was some kind of janitorial supply co. Guess I could put some toilets in the back with a few seat belts.

Need to measure but maybe a dakota transplant in the works?

Magnum and an OD + c-body 8 3/4 is what it will probaly get for cruising.

I'm thinking about 4" out of the front tapering to 2" out of the rear...I know...if wishes were horses...

Oh
Im thinking you need to go 4x4. It needs big tires and a big lift kit.

Not sure about your 52 I believe it should be the same as the wheel base for my 48 Panel which is 110" so a dakota swap takes a little bit of adjusting as the short wb models from 88 to 96 are right at 112".

How are you rear doors? The area below my rear doors has rusted all way through.

My intention is to drop mine on a Dakota Chassis, fix the rust issues that have to be addressed (rear door area) and run it with a 5.2 and 318. Mine is an old Termite Truck.

I had a 53 Panel but don't have pics anymore. I was going to do the Dakota swap also. Mine went to a new owner in Kansas City a couple of years ago.

Actually, the more I look at the photo I posted on here, the rear wheels would sit better in the rear wheel well if it was moved back a couple of inches.

I think the angle your picture was taken at distorts the rear wheel well/tire placement.

My son had a 55 panel high school ride, we pathed the wheel wells, removed a couple leafs from the front spring pack. that thing was pure evel to drive, the brakes sucked and springs had groves worn in them so hitting a bump resulted in some interesting and unpridictable bump steer. The 360 auto we installed hauled butt, so he was happy.

The Dakota swap would be a good move. Gene

Thats way cool. Id replace the glass, leave the outside as is and keep it soaked in some wd40, add a 360 auto and cruise it till everybody gets tired of seeing it..then cruise it some more
