i bought a repop drivers side mirror for my 69 road runner a couple of years ago and there is a problem developing. the ball socket that the mirror moves on seems to be getting looser. if i hit a dip in the road or take off quick the mirror moves. has anyone had any success removing the glass and tightening up the pivot? if so what technique was used?

I paid too much for some "quality" reproductions from a fella with the initials "FM" on eBag a few years ago. They are doing the same thing with only a thousand or so miles of driving.

Anybody sell Viagra for mirrors?
