The old tires were Pro Trac N50's that are about 27.5" tall and they would spin constantly through second gear. My best time with them was a 12.78 at 109.49 mph with a 2.02 60 foot time.

I just put on MT ET Streets, 275/50/15, which is 26" tall. I'm headed to Island Dragway tomorrow for a track rental and wondering what I should expect?

I would expect a 1.6 to 1.7 sixty foot time and similar improvements in the rest of the run. I have seen a 1.5 times improvement on the sixty foot improvements on a lot of cars at the track, in other words they pick up a tenth, .100 in the sixtys and saw a .150 improvement at the /4 mile ET and one to three MPH improvements. Let us know your improvements

80 degree air temp and high humidity and it went 12.505 at 112 mph with a 1.98 60 foot. Ran a bunch of high 12.5's and 12.6's. I finally got my 60 foot down to 1.82 but kept missing 2nd gear. A little linkage adjustments and got a 1.84 60 foot with a 12.64 with a 94 degree air temp and really muggy. And..... before anyone chimes in that already knows the story,,,you know who you are,,,,, a bunch of white smoke out the right bank of the engine.... So I have to work nights this weekend and I'll pull the head on Tuesday to see what I broke. But I did get my 12.5 I wanted so it's all good.

Hey thanks for the support Gary. You too Randy. I like Evilspirit's pic better than your's!!! Ha!!!

Combo WAS , ,, 416 small block with out of the box eddy heads with roller rockers, 6 pack, 12:1 static CR, .548 hydraulic roller, 4 speed, 3:91's, stock T/A exhaust with manifolds. Front Caltrac 90/10s, rear adjustables. The rest of it is a stock restored T/A.

Since the engine is coming apart this week, does anyone have any suggestions to give it a bit more HP, but keeping the stock exhaust and 6 pack?

416" Small Block? That looks like a hyper Hemi piston to me, with the valve pockets on the opposite sides of a dome, and the groove between the 1st and 2nd ring.

That's not my piston. FY1TA was just making reference that I burned holes in my pistons. We'll know for sure on Tuesday.

Once you fix the eng you need to work on the 60. That 112 mph says you have 11.80's in the car. Ron

Chris:

I hope it is only a blown head gasket. Fix it and make Fuzz cry a little more because he is not as fast as you.
