I am looking for a single stage pre-mix paint so I can paint the trunk in my B5 Blue car. Anyone have any luck with a good match? Anyone use any of Eastwood's metalic blue paint?

There is also 3 different shades of B5 used from 68-70...I would recommend a paint supplier with a machine to read your paint color for a good match.
PPG was the original supplier, but todays paint doesnt have the exact mixing components that they used in 70 so there is some difference.

Say WHAT?? There are 3 different B5s from 1969-1974

EB5 - 1969-1970
GB5 - 1971-1973
KB5 - 1974

paint codes prior to 1969 were single digit

Actually color code B5 is not available in 1968..
according to the ditzler paint chips.

From 69-73 there are 2 different formulas for B5.

69-70 is Ditzler code 2019.
71-73 is Ditzler code 2306
74 is different also..

For your 70 Satellite
You are looking for 2019...

Best of luck...

He is right about the exact match part..
But PPG's B/C C/C mix is really sweet but pricey.

You can get almost dead on match from Kirker.
it's actually listed as a GM color
But its a quarter of the price of PPG top of the line and I doubt even an expert could tell the difference...

I just went to a large local auto paint store and gave them the 2019 code. They mixed up a quart in single stage acrylic enamel with no problem. The local NAPA with auto paint capabilites couldn't mix the paint for me. That is why I recommend a auto paint specialty supplier/store instead.

Frank,

I noticed you're from Detroit area. What store did you get the paint from? I'm interested in a source for touch up paint for my B5 GTX.

Thanks

Automotive Paint Supply (I think that's the name) on Groesbeck between 12 Mile and 13 Mile. The store is on the east side of Groesbeck. Just keep an eye peeled for the DuPont rainbow on their sign as you're driving up Groesbeck at the usual 60mph! LOL I have been buying auto paint there since 1975. They are real helpful and will spend the time getting the right stuff for you.
