Yes the intake is off,,,I am running a Moroso deep pan and I am afraid the piece is sitting on a baffle, I have used a welding magnet which is pretty strong, to no avail so far, just trying to do everything possible before I have to tear the pan off, It's not a big deal really, all I have to remove the cross link for the steering and the pan will drop straight down.

Mike, not sure what he is afraid of but while we were at Columbus we had quite a few guys there that offered to flip it over and shake it out but he said he would wait until he got home

I'm assuming your running a windage tray... Chances are it's sitting on the tray...
No windage tray but it has a Hughes main cap girdle,it could be on that somewhere, it probably went down by the cam gear and landed on the raised part of the rear of the pan and in front of that area is a baffle, the center holes/slots have a cover on them, I did notice that the small drain back hole's are not covered, guess I need to get out the epoxy and screen wire.
Mike I tried what you said but I could not get the engine hoist to go up high enough!

Might be able to use a long-tip blowgun to blow it around, at least you'd be able to hear it moving, maybe.
Parts I seek:
driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set
16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better.
69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields
Send a PM.
