I need to find a male AC fitting to make the connection to a #10 female hose.

First pic is what I have now. The AC hose is directly welded to the end that I need to connect.
So that needs to be cut off, and a male receiver added, like dryer connection in 2nd pic.
Then I can connect new female hose, 3rd pic.

I can only find hose fittings, any ideas where to find a fitting like in 2nd pic that can be welded/brazed to the existing HW?

That AC hose isn't welded on, it's crimped on.

Any good hose shop should be able to remove the old hose and crimp a new on on with whatever fitting you need on the other end. Assuming the original stuff is still good enough to reuse.

Need a new fitting, so I can screw on a new hose.
That hose on there now is crimped, pretty sure, it's not a good idea to somehow remove and recrimp to a new hose.
So effectively that circled connection needs to be replaced.

All those pictured fittings are designed specifically for A/C lines. Any commercial A/C repair shop will have them in stock. You can also look for a hydraulic systems repair shop, Heck, even Harbor Freight carries kits to hydraulically crimp that type of fitting.

Also, I see your receiver dryer is open to the air. How long has it been since that seal was broken? You may want to install a fresh one, as they become saturated with moisture from the air.

The circled part is called a ferrule, it's a sleeve that fits over the end of the hose and is then crimped. The ferrule can be cut off and the hose removed from the end of the metal tube. Problem is, the barbs on the end of the tube are incompatible with the new barrier hose so the old barbed end needs to be cut off and a new barbed end welded/soldered on.

As stated, any competent A/C shop can do this.

Went to 2 different AC shops today and both said no go.
Maybe they didn't want to be bothered. Partly the reason I was hoping to find a fitting and just have someone weld it.

I found fittings for.the hose on ebay, so I'll buy those and cobble it together. Won't be pretty, but I've given up on that, just need it to work.

I assume you are doing this to convert to 134 and a different compressor. Maybe get rid of the rusted R12 tube/hose/expansion valve and go direct out of the evaporator fitting on the fire wall.

A good A/C shop can make them, I watched the guy put the schrader valves into the fittings I needed.

FYI: R134 also requires a condenser designed for it, typically a multi-pass flow design.
