Who was making the seat covers with extra padding as bolsters?

Anyone have them? How are they holding up?

it seems almost all upholstery business, whether it be covers or shops doing the work, have exorbitant lead times for products or doing work.
i had a seem come apart in the driver's seat back on my charger, and the local shop [who does excellent work] wanted almost 11 months lead time.
well, that worked out ok for me, as that put the repair into november of last year.
i dropped it off at the time stated, and it took him until february of this year to get it done. good thing i wasn't in a hurry.............. mad
he did very good work, charged an excellent price for the work done, and even made some replacement buttons for free.
however, i still do not have the seat back installed yet.............. biggrin [i'm only half-fast these days. laugh2]

I'd put in some aftermarket seats of era correct appearance before I shelled out those bux.

You can buy a pair of brand new seats in era appearing trim from Speedway for less than those Legendary seat covers.

All new seats, new foam, new springs, new frame, including tracks. No 50+ year old foam, tracks, frames, springs etc you still have to "fix" after you cough up for the covers.

Are they a direct fit? Nope, you will most likely need to mod the supplied tracks.

Will they be "correct"? Nope, but I am not a resto guy either.

And if you want to step up to a more supportive seat that might not be 100% era appearing, well here you go. Just a hair more than the covers

Thanks for the heads up but I'm sort of a resto guy, car being built for factory appearing class so something that matches my good condition original rear seats is a plus.

The legendary covers come with new foam , they have to to get that shape.

As I said I'd need to park my kester in one before I'd even consider it. The factory buckets leave a lot to be desired , as have most Mopar seats over the decades , even the one in my 98 Ram isn't much better than what came in the muscle car era.

Didn't think I'd start a controversy.

I've done plenty of eat swaps over the years but this vehicle is going to be more correct than my others. I'm not waiting 8 months for this though, and I'm ok with stock.
