So I picked up a set of 14X6 steel wheel for a trailer, but the funky hubs would let me mount them, so I decided to list them. Nearly Every single person that messaged me asked for date and codes on the wheels. I did notice the wheels all have the same code M 9 30 where the valve stem. I only briefly looked at barrel to confirm the size. Is there a value for a match set of rims like these and if so, how much?

Sure are in great shape. Id think any date matched set would be bought by someone at a higher rate then mixed. And imo its getting to the point anything in good shape will sell and bring ok money.

We all know what its like when we need to buy something, not cheap.

Thank you for that info. I’m old school 15x7 wheel guy cause it’s just easier to get bigger tires, so I always passed on smaller type wheels like these. Probably took over 100 of these type wheel in the old days to scrap and wheel shops to be cut up for cores. Sometimes I was parting a car out and was leaving it a roller, I’d throw these type on it and send it right to the junk yard. Now everything costs something more is soo true.

I hope they're valuable - I have a set from my Feb '68 SPD RR, with mint wheel covers & Goodyear Speedway F70s that I don't need to keep - but there's the 1st rule of Mopar parts:

If you need the part, it's Gold, and if you're selling it, it's nearly worthless laugh2

I can't read the number under the M5, but it looks like a 9. These would be correct for 1970 B- and E-body by date, and also found on 1971 models. These are hard to find, especially in this condition. The last set I had was from a 1970 RR, and as nice as yours, but factory purple and all four dated within a few days of each other. I got $750 for the four of them, and that was several years ago.

Crazy stuff. One of these days I need to get rid of my '66 14 x 5.5's off my wagon. Last I knew, they were crazy as well.

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

eek shock

Yes, it’s a 9 under the M. They really selling like that? Dang. Guess I gotta get back into stock parts like wheels again if that’s the case. I remember taking matching sets to Dick (rip) at Stockton Wheel for $10ea for cores and he’s cut the centers out and make them 15X8 for $90 bucks back in the old days. 😭

Yours are date-coded for an early '70 build, and we all know how crazy prices are for '70 B- and E-bodies lately. Buying these one at a time and trying to build a 'set' correct for a particular car can take a while. If all four of yours are dated near each other, you just saved someone a ton of time.

Don't forget, most of these 14x6 wheels were on performance versions, and if the wheels weren't ditched for aftermarket wheels shortly after the car was delivered, those steel wheels that did survive on the car were ditched when it became a crusty used car in 1975, purchased by a kid, who went to the junk yard and bought a set of peeling Cragars and put them on. Think of them in the same light as stock iron 'HP' exhaust manifolds, often junked in favor of some Heddman or Casler headers.
