Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on an inexpensive security camera for one location. I would prefer completely wireless with reasonably good resolution. Battery (Long life) or solar powered. Records onto an SD card? I posted a week or so back about the idiot delivery drivers that occasionally use a retaining wall as their backing up stop. The wall has now been replaced and it would be nice to record the idiot(s) so I can nail them. Unfortunately the wall is blocked by the vehicle and the resolution on my existing cameras is not good enough to capture before / after. My thought is to position a camera under the building overhang shooting down the length of the wall. Any help much appreciated as this is something I know little about

It looks like a reasonable place to start with. Do a couple mock runs with your own vehicle, see how the footage comes out, then adjust the camera position/angle accordingly.

Ring. I have them all around my house, one on solar, rest are battery. Charge lasts a few months. Get alerts on your phone. Easy to save videos you have to have. I don’t remember what I paid per camera, but I thought it was insignificant compared to troubles caused by not having them and for what they bring to the table. Been using them for three years now. The solar one has never needed a battery in that time. I keep one spare to rotate in the rest. I have the doorbell too and one in the backyard is hardwired with a motion flood.
I want my fair share

Wyze cams are pretty good and affordable. sd card, cloud storage option, View from your cell anywhere and send message when motion or sound activated.

However, the good ones need a power source. Their battery one shows 12 second clips and live feed only. The powered ones can playback and store on an SD card in addition to the live view and 12 second clips.

I just put a Ring set up at my front door and by my garage , its great I wish I had done it sooner . I just have to remember to shut the one for the garage off when working in the driveway . My wife and I have it connected to our phones . Sometimes if I don' remember to turn it off by the garage and I am doing something in the driveway she activates the " talk " feature and asks me what I am doing , scared the heck out of me the first time! The picture quality of the Ring cameras is pretty amazing . I like it because I know when the mail or a package arrives . Both of mine aren't battery powered.

thanks to all that responded I rolled the dice on this one, got it for 35.00 with a 30% off deal. We'll see how it works. had to buy an SD card, reader and I opted for an additional 3 year warranty (total of 5) total was about 75.00. Time will tell I'll report back once I get it setup thanks again to all Which camera did you buy?
