Read in the latest monthly issue of RaceCar Engineering that the 2024 F2 cars are going with front TB's. eek grin


Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

I can see how torsion bars would make sense for Indy or F1. Less complex than strut driven springs and more aerodynamic than coil springs hanging out in the wind. Be interesting to see some drawings or pictures but I think they keep all of that stuff top secret.

I agree, mainly aero improvements and lower COG I suspect.

Yes, aero seems like a win, low CG is a win and packaging seems like a win with the torsion bars laying in the bottom of the tub next to the driver's legs. At least that is how I'd draw it up but I have no idea what they ended up with.

F1 has been using torsion bars for some years to my knowledge. There a change other than what has been used in the recent past?
