I bought my Duster last spring and am swapping the drive train out completely. This car was built by someone else, but they appear to have done a nice job. I have no reason to doubt what the previous told me about the car.

The engine is a "rebuilt" 1969 steel crank 318 with a 340 cam and an Edelbrock Performer intake (air cleaner not included). No ticks, knocks or problems. Runs like you think it would. A230 three speed manual that leaks like a sieve but shifts and performs well. And an 8 1/4" rear with 3.55 gears and a Sure Grip.

I want to pull it all out and sell it. I don't have room nor reason to store it. What do you think would be a fair price for these items? Thanks

Probably $1500 but not an easy sale... twocents

The most desirable piece is the 8 1/4 rear with large bolt pattern, 3:55 gears, and sure grip.

If that were a 8 3/4 I'd think it could be a $1200 and up piece with big bolt axles installed. Most would split the gear from the rear to get most money.

This would work perfect in my 69 Barracuda with a locked up 318. When you figure out a price, message me. I am up for a roadtrip....

I have no problem selling it separately, just looking for a fair price to seller AND buyer.

I have no receipts for anything, but you can tell that it's not a rattle can rebuild. The guy who built it had it all apart. I think I can sell a decent "rebuilt" 318 complete carb to pan and a working A body 8.25". If I can't find a buyer for the three speed I'll probably scrap it.

The rear end and transmission should be coming out next week while I'm on vacation.

What is the partial VIN on the passenger side of the case?

I see it has the reverse / 1st arm for the 1970 column lockout.

It might be a good idea to leave it operating configuration until it sells so that the buyer can be taken for a ride/hear it run.

I'm going to video a cold start and walk around. I sold a 340 a few years back and that really helped. Might do a round the block video also.

I'll have that info hopefully by next weekend. I've noticed that arm on the transmission but didn't know what it is for? Now I have to research it. Thanks

$1500 is a good, fair price and it will sell quickly. That would be sold in minutes on my local Craig's list.
