Cool looking Omaha orange 69 340 4spd dart w black bumble bee stripe.Nice dart ,has anyone seen it in person or at chryslers at carlise.Has alot of awards,story and pics in Feb 2024 Mopar Action it says that it's owned by the Ambroses not sure if there members here.Anyone have pics of the dart they could post? Cool looking dart.

We've never seen this dart before been going to Chryslers at Carlisle since 1997 but there's been so many cars to look through over the years. This dart has 12 awards over 11 years at carlisle Years ago I had a green Western Sport Special in California, I later painted it in competition orange painted cheaply by earl shieb,and I added a black bumble stripe to it.Any way..nice car!Maybe Ed B has some picks of it.

I've been chasing that color for years. Virtually every paint supplier references the Dupont code 60436 but to this day none have been able to match it - apparently one of the tints used to make it are no longer available. Also. there is no reference to this being called "Omaha" orange by Ma Mopar - its only listed as "orange" on Chrysler paint charts of the day. Maybe it was called Omaha orange in sales brochures ????

The closest I can find - and don't even know how close it is - is 60326. This is apparently the color the "Bengal Chargers" were painted in '68. Whether true or not that color faces the same dilemma - the tint is no longer made so the color can't be matched. I have a bit that I had mixed about ten years ago and I have to say, its the nicest orange of all Mopar oranges past and present for one simple reason - regardless of the light its stays "orange" - ALL others turn brownish once they're out of the sunlight.

Anyhow, if anyone can help me out on that 60436 paint code I'd appreciate it.

They've been at chryslers at carlisle alot over the years.Maybe Ed B can find out about the color.

Year one has a 999 Omaha orange made by the restoration shop paint code C P62 company that sells it is TCP global under AE 1804 I think it's 89.00 QT Mopar action said it's a slightly brighter hue than EV2 Hemi Orange.They also called it chrysler 999 code Omaha orange.Also it may have been available on jeeps.Hope this helps.

EV2 is NOT orange - regardless of the word "orange" being in the name.

This is EV2 - and it ain't orange !!

That Charger looks like R4 on my monitor.
My old EV2 Duster was a reddish-orange - some might say orangey-red - but definitely straddled that part of the spectrum.
For bonus points, it also had the orange bucket interior.

A search of YearOne turned up zilch. The "P62" code is late model Omaha orange - I've done sample spray-outs of that.
