Wow you would think BJ'S pictures would show realistic color as ones shown look like poop. Heading down next month to check out myself. Should be interesting as I've never been to one of these big auctions before. Can't wait to check out teeth marks on dash....

I’d hope someone wanting to get top dollar and going to the trouble to auction it would toss in a new pad.

I want my fair share

Well a few days at BJ really opens the eyes in so many ways along with one’s wallet 😉 Went Friday and Saturday, holy smokes what a huge production and what a job they do moving the cars through. Highly recommend going to one if you haven’t. Had a great time and saw a lot of awesomeness. Saw the old superbee hammer for $162k. It will be interesting to see where and when it shows up again. I did find it interesting reading the info board in front of car stating the superbee had a previous refreshening and a well documented restoration 2014-2017…. Noticed car was being sold with copy of broadcast sheet and not the original ? when I sold car original BS was included…..Was interesting when car hit auction block……
Dave Wise name was very popular at auction. All I will say is I purchased this car 2001, as a roller in pieces. I contacted Rocket Restoration for restoration (complete nut bolt rotisserie) that was completed early 2005, have lots of pictures 😉. I sold car 2005. Car was in Mopar Muscle 06/2006, heck of a refreshening……

Did you feel the car was lacking when your resto was done? Did you request just a driver type job? Just curious as to why a car would be blown back apart not even a decade later.

SCG, I have no idea what’s behind the 2014-2017 restoration. I know if I was buying a car of this rarity and expense I would want to know story and see the documentation. I believe it was in a 2006 Mecum auction, from some paperwork I had on file, but there is no vin shown to verify for sure if it was my old car, pictures show what looks to be red line tires as my car had and as mentioned in prior post June 2006 mopar muscle states some interesting things with their story on car wink
