Surprised that they couldn't find a buyer for this one. Maybe if it had some nice wheels it would have sold?

Is this one been discussed? Does anyone know anything about the car?

The rejected high bid was $125,000.

Love it. Some different wheels would be better.

On my monitor, it looks more like Lemon Twist than Y2 yellow...and Lemon Twist wasn't a '69 color.
I could be wrong - didn't see the auction - but the color could be a factor.
From what I can tell from the photos , though, it's pretty stunning.

My old car, had correct y2 single stage paint at restoration early 2000, pictures from Mecum are terrible unless repainted since I owned. Poor old Bee has been pasted around it seems since I sold. Wish I knew it was on the market again. One of my favorite cars I’ve owned. Hemi 4spd bench seat…..coupe…. If you want more info pm me. I wonder if the Deep Purple 8 track is still in glove box………

I like that one. Says resto in 2014-17. Maybe repainted to something not Y2? Looks darker to me.

Its' a broad range, but somewhere between those 2 figures. There are not a lot of Hemi Super Bees changing hands, so comps are harder to come by. And the condition matters, Was it a rusted out hulk with all AMD panels, or all original sheet metal? Any ghosts in the closet? Like "numbers matching" with a restamped block? That stuff affects value a lot.

This, ^^^

After having been to Barrett Jackson this past Jan. Some of these cars dont look near as nice as the camera makes them appear to be.

I have driven many cars across the auction stage at both Mecum and Barret Jackson. There are a lot of cars that look good with a camera shot but close up are far from it.

I will say this Bee never had any rust. I did get a laugh from one of the claims made when it appeared in Mopar Muscle, June 2006, can’t believe everything you read……….On value, I thought it had gone through one of the auctions since I owned bidding up around $180k…..

My mind couldn't take the stress of driving a 1 of only 79 produced car. Something about being the guy that destroyed a part of history when of if I screwed up. Then add the dual quad Hemi, and the price tag the car carries, and its out of my league.

Don't worry about that stuff. Cars are meant to drive and enjoy.
Eventually all cars will be gone and so will you. It's just a matter of when. If you survive the crash, insurance will cover the car.

Keeping these things tucked away is leading to their extinction. Fewer and fewer people have seen them in the wild to take interest. Why would they care when they are banned?

Owners of cars like this Bee, should be taking them
to a Pure Stock sanctioned style race at LEAST ONCE, while owning it.
That's what the damned things were built for, in the first place. Not hiding in
a florescent/neon lamp filled, show off warehouse. eyes
