Hi Guys,

I'm usually in the Race section but wanted to post something here to maybe learn more to help a Buddy out. He just picked up a 2024 Challenger Last Call with a 5.7/man trans combo. I know very little about these cars, so in a nutshell what would be some "best bang for the buck" mods for a car that's going to be 90% street/10% track (chase-a-few- timeslips) kind of car? Lets say the budget is $5k.

Thanks!

First challenge (pun intended) is he's got a manual trans ==> serious wheel hop trying to get them off the line. He should research this issue before bothering to go to the track, IMO.

Very first mod is to do the "skip-shift" mod on the tranny. About 10 bucks for the switch on ebay. Second, get rid of that lousy factory shifter and install a BARTON. Third.. rear-end brace and the new carrier bearing setup from the same company, Per4Mance Development. Fourth.. larger wheels and tires will help with the wheelhop. I went 4 sizes larger on my Challenger 315/40s using Demon wheels.
