Why would you just decide to go back to carb after putting the money and time to install this?

These have issues. Like many of the FI setups.

IMHO, a core for refurb by FI Tech. Maybe it is ok. But taking a sizable chance. .

Buying an EFI second hand, unless really cheap, is a gamble. If the ECU is having any issues you don't have a warranty.
