Does anyone know what is going on with the swap meet forum? No quarterly renewal of ads yet and the edit function is gone from my ads.

Maybe they gonna go to yearly re-do now... they used to renew it every month but traffic went way down when they made it harder to post pics, now it seems like just a lot of people reposting the same old same old stuff every quarter... the same set of points and tq flite pistons for years and years on end... might as well just leave the adds up all year I suppose. I know I hardly ever look on there anymore and when I do it is most of the same stuff thats always there.

posting pictures does not get easier than it is here

I've tried multiple times since the last big "update" no luck whatsoever, if I remember right it was something about wrong format or some technical thingy I couldn't figure out and I am not the only one having this issue and it is a big reason traffic is down so much on here I promise you so I just don't post pics here as often, or as much of anything as I otherwise would have. Heck I can't even look at moparts on my phone any more where my pictures are because of the adds stopping up my phone. Not everyone is computer savvy on a forum of old carburetor mechanics and it has cost a ton of traffic loss here...

It really is sad what has become of this place, it is waaaaay better than facebook because I can go look at old stuff from 10 or 15 years ago if I want but at least I can easily post pics there if someone needs one.

You need to have some type on the post like this

click attachment manager. Below it will bring up a box, then it says add file (picture ) click that it will show you the pictures on your computer you have saved , find the one you want and let it download, hit done and hit done and post reply

I got no pictures on my computer, don't know how to get em there off the phone.

Email them to yourself and then save them on your desk top

Actually it's A LOT easier on the "For A Bodies Only" website...than Moparts.
You can post a lot more over there, and you don't have to resize anything at all.
Biggest pic here you can post is what? 4mb or something? And only four pictures maximum on these classified ads.
Yes I know it's a free ad, but it's not the greatest format.

Pics that I use to post on here are now to big. Now about 80% of the pics I try to post on here are to big. I'm not spending a ton of time resizing pics. On the "For Only" sites you can post 10 pics in an ad and no resizing.

The site administrator should make it easier to
put pics on this website.... like MANY other sites already do.
Maybe as others have mentioned, it's one of the reasons

I have nothing but difficulty trying to post pics. here, have no idea how to resize there for no success posting pics & it is very frustrating, FBBO NO PROBLEM. & that's where I will sell items.

Your phone has to be connected to your computer, probably through the phone charging port and a USB port on your computer.
If your computer has a "picture" area, it will tell you how to down load the pictures to your computer. Save the pictures on your computer. Once the pictures are saved on your computer, you can disconnect your phone.
Then post the pictures from your computer here.

I do it the old fashioned way. I email the pictures off my phone to my computer then transfer them on my pictures gallery. I can't stand using my phone for Moparts, so I stay off it if I am not near my computer...

And there's lots of free picture resizing programs out there. If you use Windows, try MS Power Toys.

It aint that hard....If you don't want to resize the pics upload them to a hosting site, plenty are still free and link the picture to the ad, most sites make that pretty easy. I also see no real reason to post 30 pictures on a free site to sell something. I sell stuff here on a regular basis and rarely need even 4 pictures to do it. Most folls who are SERIOUS have no issue getting ahold of you are asking for specific pictures to be emailed to them.

I think most computers come standard with the "Paint" program. If you right click your photo there is an option in the drop down menu to open the photo using different programs. If you open it in "Paint" there is an option to resize the image based on a percentage. Just save it after it's resized or retitle it & save it as a smaller version.

It didn't used to be this way. For around 15 years I had pages of ads on here and sold tons of parts and several cars. Also bought quite a bit. It takes alot more time now and yes I know how to resize pictures. That and alot less traffic on here I sure don't sell like the good o' days and nearly as much as I have in recent years on the other sites. It is what it is. I might start listing more on here again but not like before. Still alot of good people here.
It does look like the ads are back to a yearly thing now.

Rather than a physical connection between phone and PC, I'll just email them to myself from the phone, When I do this, it'll automatically ask me if I want to send the pic small, medium or large. Medium falls in the 640 range and I've never had an issue, so that's what I most commonly use. I'll use this site's attachment link if I don't want to post anymore after the pic(s). If I want to post more or add comments to my pics, I use the hosting site Imgur.

Note, I always post pics from my PC, not my phone. I'm sure I could do it, but working around the info links while doing it is too annoying.

I haven't seen that feature on my Gmail John. What email do you use?
I post from both my phone and computer but my phone lets me pick multiple pictures at one time as where on my computer I have to do one at a time.
