One of a small number of players from that era who would make it in today's NFL. Such a great player, and incredibly strong. He tended to tackle people up high, which is very unusual, but he'd run right though them and plant them. That's very difficult to do when you're hitting someone up high. Also, 22 (!!!) career interceptions in 9 seasons as a linebacker is utterly ridiculous. By all accounts, a genuinely good guy too. RIP.
Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

Anybody from Chicagoland remember when he was a regular act on the Steve Dahl show? He was one of their ongoing characters in his morning skits along with nurse Ana-septic and others.

Sad loss. He did live much longer than the life expectancy of NFL players. A real man's man. Tough, but not a jerk. He will be missed
