Why?

What other tool (other than a BFH) can you have so much fun tearing stuff up with?

Lately that has been my favorite too

My wife likes being out there as much as me. She helps make the mess, she helps clean it up. Thats why my tool box drawers have labels. She'll know where it's at and where to put it back..

When you decide to quit, THAT is the moment when you would've succeeded..

I bought a used truck drum and rotor lathe about 2 years ago. Just had a need for it the other day. Bought some tooling and cut a few rotors recently. It's my new favorite tool for now.

You got a rotor lathe?????????

Yup it's a Kwik Way 850. Made for trucks, I bought it from the International truck dealer on Colerain ave. It has a pretty big shaft on it, I just turned some rotors off a F 450 truck last week. I need to find a old car rotor to see if I can do it. Got some to do? I'll do it if I can mount em.

Got some off my Ram. If they don't fit, can we make an adapter or a new arbor?

I knew you were gonna remind me of that...your right for sure. I can't help you live on the wrong side of town.

I'm pretty sure it will do pickup drums and rotors. Got lot's of mounting jigs. It's just that the shaft is about 2-3" OD Yea I think a new smaller shaft could be made. It can take a bigger shaft too acording to the manuel. It's real old I'm told by Kwik way. I talked to the same guys that built my flywheel grinder and they said it was made between 1973-78! It works great and very solid, just couldn't find anything online about it, I guess because it is so old. We used it a couple times when we first got it but the inserts were shot and the tool holder sucked. Got new of both after some research and it did a great job with less than .0005 runout.
