I put a new inline metal canister type fuel filter on my Dart about 15 years ago right after I got the car. I have probably only driven the car no more than 1500 miles in all that time (probably closer to 1000 miles). I am going to change the fuel hose as it is dried out and starting to crack and leak. I was just wondering if I should change the filter when I swap out the hose. How often based on time or mileage do you typically change your fuel filters?

if the filter hose is looking bad on the outside, imagine what is happening inside........
the filter is more than likely filling up with fuel hose tidbits.
change it. they are cheap enough......

If you can blow through it easily, no back pressure it is probably still useable work scope
Fuel filter being as little costs as they are I would replace it up work

Since you are changing the hose, which you can see is gone bad, the filter (after 15 years) is bad as well. Might as well do it all the same time.
