Don't know the car, but seems there's a lot of stuff here for the money.

Why is all this stuff on fake book? Everyone here doesn't do fake book. Can't see anything because it's telling me "I MUST log in..."

Why? Because Ebay flat out SUCKS and Craigslist is full of scammers, and don't they CHARGE you to run a car ad now?

There are specific moderated groups for selling stuff, you're not just blindly throwing it out onto Facebook (though that is an option too). While I haven't tried to sell a car on there recently, I have sold a bunch of other stuff on there that got zero response or just scammers on Craigslist.

So, where am I supposed to sell stuff now?

Rather than piss and moan about evil facebook, how about enlightening us with where we should be selling now?

Does it show? blush laugh2

So I came off a little harsh........but seriously, regardless of who's doing the pissin' and moaning, no ones offered a viable alternative to Facebook (did I miss it?) The days of Ebay and Craigslist are long gone.

Nah...it's Friday... end of the stress-week!

To be honest, they all have their disadvantages, and FB has a lot of them as well. Sure, there are specific groups, but if you're looking to sell, or buy, a part for, say, a 1969 Charger, well, there's like 13 bazillion groups out there. So, you join the Mopar groups, and the Charger groups, and the B-body groups, and the 68-70 groups, and all the other groups that cater to Chargers... and that's cumbersome. Doing a search, though, yields results as bad as eBay, and there's no way to search the groups all at once. So, you do a general search for a '69 Charger dash pad on Marketplace and you get results from all over, for things like Camaro seats and Oldsmobile intakes. So, you limit a search to 50 miles, as an example, and you get... Camaro seats and Oldsmobile intakes, all of which say 'ships to you'.

The company that comes out with an easy-to-use and GOOD search function, and doesn't allow keyword spamming, will rule the world!

To be honest, they all have their disadvantages,

Yup. frown

As far as joining groups, I try to look for ones that have the most activity when I'm looking for a place to sell something. Mind you, a majority of what I've sold lately hasn't been automotive related, so your results may vary.

One thing that annoys the heck out of me are the auto responses for ads on FB. That's why there are so many "Is it still for sale?" complaints. And just as annoying are the auto responses for that, "Yes, its still available" (I forget what exactly it says, so don't quote me). When selling something, I never use the auto respond. If a person is genuinely interested, they'll be willing to type something out rather than a one click response.

As long as FB is free, I'll deal with its annoyances.

Hey, I totally feel you on the group activity! When I'm selling something, I also look for those high-energy groups. It makes a big difference in getting noticed. And you're spot on about the auto responses – they can be a real headache! "Is it still for sale?" messages can drive anyone crazy. I agree, taking the time to type out a genuine response shows real interest.
By the way, have you considered to buy fb business manager? It might come in handy for managing your sales and ads efficiently. Just a thought! And yes, despite its quirks, as long as FB is free, we'll stick around, right?
