I plan to go to the race in Norwalk in September, although I have been to Norwalk I have never raced there. I am coming from Ontario Canada

Do I need to buy tickets or register?

I run 9.60s-9.70s

Do I need a competition license

Anything I should check or ensure I have together

I do have an update chassis tag and helmet

Under 10.0 times you need an NHRA license, chassis cert and a full face helmet. Not sure if they are doing on line registration but do know you can pay upon arrival.

Why not call them and talk to their tech guys about what they want you to have to be allowed to race at that race scope twocents
Once you register they will know your from Canada and they may not know if you and the car are NHRA legal for 7.50 ET to 9.99 ET. Do you have a legal driving suit and gloves?

Under 10.0 requires chassis cert and competition license. That being said I've never been asked for my license at Norwalk. Seen may cars run there without chassis cert under 10.0. Weve done both.

Don't forget to have a engine diaper, or oil containment pan. Is your chassis certified? They might NOT ask for these things in tech, but it's best to have them regardless, and why take the chance of pulling that far, only to be told you can't run?

There’s a very nice older gentleman that techs at the bigger events to help out. Recommended a four inch extension of my foam roll bar padding, noticed a door panel wasn’t on my driver side door when I switched back to stock doors, and my helmet was expired for NHRA but still good for IHRA, my new track. He’s out to protect you but these are things he found over the many years out there. He will be checking your shut off switch, your belts, your neutral safety switch. I dont think he would let any of those slide.

Make sure you take time for ice cream. Best deal on the planet.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

The price went up and it’s now prepackaged. Smart move.
