I first encountered them on my wife's 85 Shelby Charger. In the winter time the wheels would shrink and the Goodyear Gatorbacks would go flat while she was at work! Sometimes I could just blow the tires back up with an air tank, sometimes I had to remove the wheel and tire and put another one on. In those temps the tin would spin right off the lugnut, I finally had to get chromed steel lugnuts...


The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
