Just asking, I'm sure someone on here has shipped a car they bought or sold across country.

My daughter moved to Denver last year and I want to get a car out there to her. I know I could drive it and fly back (I'm retired and have lots of air miles) but just looking at alternatives.

Any insight or experience you might have would be much appreciated!

wave Hi Wize , For the Cheapest Rate , expect $ 1 per mile . $ 2 per mile for good Service, Good reputations . and $3 per mile for Premium , Enclosed , Top of the line Drivers and Trailers . drive Your Post tells Me that you have the time , and are retired so No deadlines or a race for Time . It's Not a Truck that gets 10 MPG to Deliver , but a Small Car . Gas up and Go for a little Drive , and use some of your Free Flying Miles to get home . bump When are you going to pack the Car ? boogie Ronnie

I don't mind sharing my rates, $1.75/mile for open trailer, $2.25/mile enclosed and 50 cents a mile for deadheading. Of course it is always cheaper if I don't have to deadhead much if I have things coming and going from close locations. It is cheaper to do it yourself if you have the time, I often get called to fly somewhere and drive a vehicle back, I like doing that too! up
