as i'm dumping my "stuff" collection, i have a complete 392 hemi i pulled from a 58 imperial way back in my junkyard days. still has the cool "imperial" script valve covers.
we had it running in the car, and the odometer showed 99k.
i also have a 392 pulled from a 57 imperial that showed 56k on the clock. never had this one running, but when we got the car, it supposedly needed a fuel pump. over the years, this engine had some parts removed and sold, but the long block is still complete.
what are these "whales" worth ?
my original intent was to rebuild one, adding a blower, then installing it into my panel truck. i'm running out of time to get this vision done, so it's probably time to let these go............

The guys I know of for those would be Hot Heads, Scott Smith (Harms Auto), who might know someone looking, or maybe the McCandless guys.

I bought a running 354 a few years ago for $1800. The 392s go for more - maybe $2500 - $3500?

The blocks/cranks are where the money is. Heads are boat anchors.

I sold my standard block a few years ago for $3k and was looking for a good crankshaft as they are hard to find solo!

my thoughts on this engine when i was going to use it, were to use aluminum 354 heads along with the blower setup.
if i sell the crank[s], the rest of the engine[s] go along for the ride. biggrin
