I installed an OBD port tracker in my Mom's Toyota when we thought she was going to start driving again https://www.bouncie.com/ Her driving didn't work out and I'm the primary driver again, but I've left it installed. It doesn't simply track your car, it also monitors vehicle maintenance, detects crashes, and tracks how you're driving (speed, braking, accelerating). It also saves a history of where you've driven. How would you do that on something vintage when its getting the info from the port?

How about just hide a $25 apple air tag in it somewhere (if you're an iphone user). There are GPS trackers for android as well Then the battery dies and you have no idea where it is, That's why I linked the setup I did, it uses the car's electrical system, not a battery. Of course, anyone pulls the car's battery and you lose it too. Maybe a hungry Rottweiler in the front seat is the best option, lol.

There are GPS trackers for android as well AirTags need to be within about 33 feet of an iPhone or other device in the Find My network for its Bluetooth signal to register. If you're that close, you can see it.........

They make a GPS tracker for trailers.
This would be what I would use on a classic car if I had the need. They have their own long life battery, that gets tied into the trailer/vehicle power feed to maintain as needed. but if the main battery is pulled from the trailer the device battery keeps sending that signal.
The device and battery are small, and can be user mounted in just about any location, they come in a weather tight box. so under frame mounting is a popular choice, and easy to hide from anyone poking around.

Hey Sniper, your linky no workie....... When the OP mentioned using the OBD port, I thought he was looking for more than a simple tracker. hmm, works for me, but that says nothing, lol. Go to Amazon, search for Optimus GB100M GPS Tracker I think the OP was talking about his Mother's car used an OBD port tracker, not that he expected to be able to use one of those on a classic car. I think he just wanted a tracker for a classic car, not all the OBD frills, at least that's how I read it,
