Guess the low mileage is the driving factor here...

Certainly one of the best color and engine combos for these cars IMO.
Would I have paid over $200K and it still need restoration? Highly doubt it. It would likely take me years simply based on the cost of a proper restoration combined with sourcing the best parts for the car.
Best of luck to whomever bought it.

"Teeter, his wife Susan, and their son Ben all died within two weeks of each other from COVID complications in December 2021,..."

Man, that sux.

Nose cone..wonder if it's original or fiberglass. That hood...WTH?

Will take $150k to restore it, but ya, done, we're talking around $400k if it has a readable buildsheet and #s matching drivetrain and a legit fender tag.

The hemmings website sucks, they want you to disable your ad blocker to view anything, well that aint happening.

The Hemmings site and link to this article came up just fine for me without ads Perhaps it is your choice of security systems.

I think the originality thing also plays a big part. I really like the color combo and matched wheels. I'm sure a lot of people prefer rallye wheels which I like also but I think this car looks really good. I'm weird though and prefer automatics over manual and 440 over hemis. It's got the 440.

Facts are stubborn things.

In the current lexicon of barn finds, that is patina.

It's cool to think that in 1981 when he bought it, the bird was only 11 years old! Most daily drivers on the road now average around 14 years old!
