I'm curious if the guy (Bernie) who bought my Duster is there.
I suspect he may not have pre-registered, as I haven't heard from him since we discussed him maybe running it there.
I heard that the race was already sold out (car count maxed), and even for spectators (which I find incredible).
I think he may have slowed the car down a bit, but it has a great home with him near as I can tell.
Looks like this - he wanted the SuperTricks, not the Flys - but a different car #.

Hey Steve, when did you sell thew Duster? Maybe I was off in another world or something but I hadn't noticed it was on the market?! So, do you have another toy/project going?...wb

I guess it was 2021 when I sold it. You were probably busy escaping The People's Republic.
No new projects, though if I move south a bit - near Firebird - another drag car is part of the plan.
Just something slow laugh2 like a high-11s to mid-12s pre-'73 kinda thing I can drive to the track & back.

You can look through the round sheets on Drag Race Central for his name. Most likely was in “hot rod” class. Believe there were 96 cars in class. I skipped it this year as my interest in racing is “slim to none” this year…… but I do have regrets after seeing pictures and chatting with friends in attendance. I’d also had issues getting there as there were some highway closures due to snow wed/thurs.
10 years ago they’d open entries in October and you literally had to hit “buy it now” as it would sell out in a day. It’s a fun event to attend, but living at a track for 4-5 days out of a trailer wears on ya!

I'm not at the track but one of my customers is down there running his Belvedere. He says there are a lot of cars there and that he is only getting to make one pass a day.

With the amount of cars and classes you get one hit Thursday, one Friday, and into R1 Saturday am. Actually works out pretty good as it gives you time to take in the event as a racer.
